My babies - Death

The aftermath of a battlefield is always ugly. Sadly in this ecology, it's survival of the fittest which obviously is the army of aphids. Despite my best efforts, none survive.

However, I can dig up the bulbs and replant them again next Spring, and mark my words..I will be the winner this time.

And also in order for me to be in a better position to protect my Tulips next year, I googled around and...

  • Tulips and onions belongs to the same family. Talking about the black sheep in the family...
  • Tulips originated from Turkey and it's their national flower.
  • Tulips are edible. During WW II when food was scarce, they made Tulip breads. However please refrain from snacking on them when you are on Tulip farms as they are likely treated to prevent aphids.
  • Tulips are the most expensive flowers in the world once upon a time.
I am not sure if they above will help me be a better Tulip planter but they are certainly interesting.
